Packaging, cases and private label
Colour boxes, blisters and polybags, vented cases, insert cards, barcodes and carton data, and the six steps from your artwork to labelled cartons at the door of a fulfilment warehouse.
The branded parts. The box, the case colour and print, the insert card, the pen or pouch label.
The unbranded parts. The moulded tray or frame itself, unless a mould is made for you.
Retail formats
| Format | Used for | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polybag with case | Plain-packaging runs, sports guards, bulk to a distributor | Least packaging cost and volume; the case does the protecting | No shelf presence; a label carries the barcode |
| Colour box with case | Night guards, anti-snoring mouthpieces such as XMD-SNR-016, whitening kits | Your artwork on every side; protects in a parcel | A print run and a proof stage |
| Blister card | Sports guards and single guards in retail | The product visible on a hook | Bulkier in a carton; harder to reseal |
| Kit box with insert | Whitening kits, guard sets of two or four | Each part in its place; reads as a system | The highest packaging cost per unit |
| Resealable pouch | Mouth tape, cleaning tablets | Light, flat, low-cost to ship | Less shelf presence than a box |
The case
A vented storage case is part of nearly every guard listing, because a guard dries in it and travels in it. Cases come in standard colours and can be moulded in your colour or printed with your logo at a print-run minimum. A hinge that survives fifty openings and a vent that lets the tray dry are the two things to look for on a sample. The cases and accessories page lists the cases in the range, including the vented storage cases in four shapes, XMD-ACC-001.
The insert card
Match the insert card to the exact product and instruction revision before printing. It carries the trim step, the fitting counts, the cleaning routine, the warnings, your brand's contact details and the country of origin. The desk supplies the text for each reference; you approve it, translate it if you need to, and compare it with a sample. The fitting guide lists what it must contain.
Barcodes and labels
Your product barcode is printed on the box or applied as a label. Warehouse and carton labels are applied before shipment to your list. Send the barcode numbers and the label files with your artwork, and say which label goes where.
Carton data
Guards and trays are light and small. Your quotation states the unit box size, pieces per carton, carton size and gross weight per reference, and cartons are packed to the count and size a fulfilment warehouse asks for. Mixed cartons across references can be packed too.
Six steps from artwork to labelled cartons
- You choose the reference and the format, and send your artwork, barcode and label files.
- The desk quotes the product, the print run, the case and the labels, and names the minimum for the route.
- A printed proof is approved once your artwork and its intended claims are final. Bring any exact marketplace or regulatory wording request to the proof stage; settle any open market-specific claims with your adviser before printing.
- A physical sample in your packaging is approved.
- Production runs and the goods are packed to your carton specification.
- Labels are applied, and the shipment leaves with the invoice, packing list and the documents named on your quotation.
Your artwork
Send only logos, images and names that you own or have written permission to use. Your artwork stays yours, and it is used only to quote, to proof and to produce your order. The claims printed on it are yours. Share any exact marketplace or regulatory wording request, and the desk tells you what is available for the quoted reference and what stays your or your adviser's responsibility. The desk does not print treatment or approval claims on any product. The compliance by market guide lists them.
Your message opens in WhatsApp with the page name added, so the desk knows what you are looking at.
